Puy Lentils - 100g

This is a grey/green lentil also known as French green lentils, which have been grown for around 2000 years. The gastronomic qualities are attributed to the volcanic soil where they are grown. They have a peppery flavour and an ability to retain their shape after cooking. Puy lentils are a good source of energy and contain vitamin B1, folate and potassium all of which are good for the heart, cholesterol and blood pressure.
